Get ready to step into the spotlight at the Shell Con Mania 2 Cosplay Competition! Whether you're a first-time cosplayer, a seasoned costume creator, or just love dressing up as your favourite character, we have a category for everyone.
This year, we are excited to present four cosplay categories:
🌟 Little Heroes Showcase (Ages 0–4)
Our youngest cosplayers are invited to take part in a fun, non-competitive showcase. There are no judges, no winners, and no pressure—just lots of smiles, applause, and amazing costumes! Every child who participates will receive a special showbag filled with goodies and be invited to join a memorable group photo with their fellow little heroes.

🦸 Kids Cosplay Competition (Ages 5–12)
Young cosplayers can take to the stage and show off their creativity, confidence, and favourite characters. Fantastic major prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
⚔️ Teen Cosplay Competition (Ages 13–17)
Teen cosplayers are invited to compete for glory, recognition, and some incredible prizes. Major prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
👑 Adult Cosplay Competition (Ages 18+)
Our premier cosplay category is open to all adult competitors. Whether your costume is handmade, commissioned, or store-bought, bring your best and compete for the top honours. Major prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
🎭 Meet the Keepers of the Mania
All competitive categories will be judged by our esteemed panel of professional and veteran cosplay judges, known as the Keepers of the Mania:

The competition will be hosted by Adam Richard, with co-hosting duties shared by fellow cosplay star and Keeper of the Mania, Lady Mandalore (Queen Kryze).
📋 Registration Information
Registrations for the Kids, Teen, and Adult Cosplay Competitions are strictly limited to 30 entrants per category.
Registration opens when doors open at 10:00am on event day.
Competition times for each category will be available at the event entrance and announced closer to the event date via our website and official social media platforms.
Important: Registrations for each category must be finalised 15 minutes before that category begins. No late entries will be accepted under any circumstances, so please ensure you keep an eye on the schedule and announcements throughout the day.

Shell Con Mania 2 Cosplay Competition Terms & Conditions. The following terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to the Shell Con Mania Cosplay competition (the “Competition”) held at Shellharbour City Stadium in Shellharbour of NSW. By participating in the Competition, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. Disputes In case of any dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions or any matter relating to the Competition, the decision of the Event Organisers will be final. Eligibility The Competition is open to almost all ages and will be grouped as follows: A Fun 0-4 Cosplay Showcase Will Be Held Also with Gift Bags for all who Contribute in the showcase. •5-12 years (Single entrant) •ATTENTION - For Teens and Adults Cosplay Must be at least 50% Of Owners own Work/Modifications on the costume. •13-17 years (Single entrant) •18+ years (Single entrant) If you are under 18, you warrant that you have obtained the consent of your parent or legal guardian to enter the Competition under these Terms and Conditions. The Event organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if there are grounds to believe that the entrant has breached the Terms and Conditions. Registration Contestants Must register On Entry on the day on August 22nd 2026, registration must be filled out upto 15 Minutes before the Competition times for your category until the maximum number of entries has been received. Registration Forms can be found at THE COSPLAY REPAIR GUILD!!! A Maximum of 20 Entrants Only Per Categorie (Time is Sensitive, so anymore would be subject to time constraints). So get in quick. Sorry but Late entries will not be accepted. Then move to the stage area to line up accordingly on the time of your competition! SEE TIMES ON ENTRY OR ON WEBSITE! Contestants must be at the Cosplay stage ten (10) minutes before the starting time of their competition to avoid forfeiting their place and be waiting in line with their name and character at the ready to give to the staff and judges! The Event Organisers are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or delayed props. Props and Fake Weapons Event Staff have absolute discretion to determine whether a prop or weapon is suitable for entry. If deemed unsuitable, Event Staff may refuse entry or offer to store the prop or weapon in the Weapons Check-In for the duration of the event. Contestants must comply with the Shell Con Mania Weapons Policy and avoid carrying any items listed as prohibited. Prizes Winners will be determined by an independent panel of judges and must be present to collect their prize. Winners may also be requested by the Event staff to participate in further publicity related to the Competition. Prize values are based on the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are in Australian dollars. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. Winners will be announced on stage at the time of the Competition. Intellectual Property Rights and Use of Entries By entering the Competition, you consent to the publication of your name in connection with the Competition and your entry. You warrant that your entry is your original work and does not breach any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights. You agree to indemnify the Event organisers for any loss resulting from a breach of this warranty and release the event organisers from any liability for any damage or loss incurred by entering the Competition or accepting any prize. Privacy Personal information is managed in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and may be accessed by the entrant upon request to the Event organisers. Personal information may also be used for other purposes permitted by the Local Government Act 1993 and its regulations and may be disclosed to other public sector bodies, agents, or contractors, in accordance with the Event Privacy Management Plan Policy. Photographic and Video Consent Event Organisers and staff may digitally record the event. By participating, you agree that the event organisers may use photographs and/or video recordings containing your image or your child’s image for reasonable purposes, including on the events websites, publications, and social media. No compensation will be provided, and the event organisers will retain copyright of any photographs/recordings. You can request these photos and if posted are allowed to tag, share and link yourself as you see fit. If you have any concerns or do not want your image or your child’s image published, please notify staff, and appropriate arrangements will be made.
